Also, ââ¬Å"environmental protection [awareness] and the rise of non-gove rnmental organizations (NGOs) have spawned a growing concern for a range of intangibles that come under an umbrella known as ââ¬Ëcorporate social reputation.ââ¬â¢Ã¢â¬ In the study of Professors Marta Maria de la Cuesta and Carmen Valor defines ââ¬Å"social responsibility as ââ¬Ëwhen companies [do] recognize and integrate social and environmental issues into their operations and their subsequent business practices, in order to satisfy those concerns and affect their relationships with partners.ââ¬â¢Ã¢â¬ The paper also defines ââ¬Å"ââ¬Ëcorporate social responsibilityââ¬â¢ creates value for the various stakeholders in the company, and winds up creating greater value for society.â⬠Bignà ©, Andreu, Swaen and Chumpitaz study concluded that ââ¬Å"cultural differences [have] achieved importance as a variable that explains ethical behavior.â⬠Consumer considers ââ¬Å"corporative social responsibilityâ⬠as social and environmental activity like â⠬Å"corporate investment in RD, and the reduction of wasteful production. [The social dimensions includes] [non-discriminatory] labor practices[,] respect for employeesââ¬â¢ human rights [and] contributing to the improvement of the quality of life wherever the company operates, as well as assisting developing countries.â⬠Finally, the paper consider the ââ¬Å"personal values of each individual, [affecting] each personââ¬â¢s philosophy of lifeâ⬠will result to their openness with other culture; thus, showing tendency ââ¬Å"for the three dimensions of corporate social responsibility.ââ¬
